DUIDGEE PARK

Public BBQ

Duidgee Park sits on the bank of the Avon River in Toodyay, offering families a solid spot for a day out. The big draw is the Toodyay Mini Rail, which runs on scheduled days and pulls kids around the grounds on a miniature train. Beyond that, there's a skate park, playground equipment, and grassed areas with covered seating and gazebos. The park has pram and wheelchair-friendly paths and clean toilets. Parking is plentiful. Some visitors note maintenance issues like damaged playground fencing, graffiti, lack of shade, and an occasionally broken drinking fountain. The lawn can look dry depending on the season. It's a popular stop during events like the Avon Descent and the International Food Festival. Families return regularly, even when the trains aren't running, combining park visits with Toodyay's bakeries, pubs, and craft shops just an hour from Perth.
